Our philosophy

Precision.
Restraint.
Purpose.
Results.

Built for those who
demand more than
the default.

We believe great technology should be invisible — felt in the effortless experience it creates, never noticed in its complexity.

Pathlight Ventures is a Dallas-based software consultancy serving small businesses and government clients. We don’t deal in templates or one-size-fits-all solutions. Every engagement begins with your specific goals, constraints, and customers — and ends with something built precisely for you.

As a SAM.gov-registered, CAGE-coded firm, we are positioned to serve both commercial clients and federal contracting opportunities. Whether you’re a small business owner looking to modernise your operations or a government agency seeking a capable technology partner, we bring the same commitment to craft and clarity to every engagement.

Our disciplines

What we
build.

Six focused disciplines. Each practised with depth, rigour, and full accountability to your outcomes. We don’t hand off to subcontractors — your project stays with us from kickoff to launch.

I
Custom Application Development
We design and engineer web and mobile applications from the ground up — no templates, no off-the-shelf platforms forced to fit. From internal operations tools to customer-facing products, every application is architected around your workflow and built to scale. We work across modern stacks including React, Node.js, and cloud-native infrastructure.

II
Websites & Digital Presence
A high-performance website is your most persistent business asset. We build responsive, fast-loading sites optimised for search and designed to convert. From small business branding sites to multi-page service platforms, we handle design, development, and deployment — with SEO baked in from the start, not bolted on after.

III
AI Tools & Workflow Automation
Artificial intelligence isn’t just for enterprise. We identify the repetitive, time-consuming tasks in your business and replace them with intelligent automation — from AI-assisted customer communication and document processing to custom LLM integrations. We scope only what you actually need and deliver it in a form your team can use from day one.

IV
Government & Federal Contracting
Pathlight Ventures holds active SAM.gov registration and a CAGE code, qualifying us to compete for and fulfil federal, state, and municipal technology contracts. We understand compliance requirements, documentation standards, and the delivery expectations unique to government work. If you are a government agency or prime contractor seeking a capable small business technology subcontractor, we are ready to engage.

V
Startup & Venture Launchpad
For founders with an idea and a timeline: we compress the path from concept to live product. We validate your assumptions, design your MVP with real users in mind, and build it fast — without cutting corners on architecture. You leave with a working product, a codebase you own outright, and a clear roadmap for what comes next.

VI
Ongoing Support & Maintenance
Software requires continuous care. We offer post-launch support plans that keep your systems secure, updated, and performing — with fast response times and direct communication, not ticketing queues. For clients who want a long-term technology partner, we offer retainer engagements that give you consistent access to our team as your needs evolve.

How we work

A clear process.
No surprises.

I

Discovery Call

We start with a focused conversation — typically 30 to 60 minutes — to understand your goals, your users, and any constraints we need to design around. No slides, no sales pitch. Just questions and listening.

You’ll leave with clarity on whether we’re the right fit and what working together would look like.

II

Proposal & Scope

Within five business days, we deliver a written proposal: scope, deliverables, timeline, and a fixed or phased price. Nothing begins until you’ve reviewed it, asked your questions, and are fully aligned.

We don’t hide variables or inflate estimates. You get a real number upfront.

III

Design & Build

We work in focused sprints with weekly check-ins and milestone reviews. You see progress as it happens — not at the end. Designs are reviewed and approved before development begins. Feedback is incorporated in real time.

Most projects move from signed proposal to working prototype in under three weeks.

IV

Launch & Handover

We manage the full deployment — domain, hosting, SSL, testing, and go-live. You receive complete documentation and a walkthrough of how to manage what we’ve built. The codebase and all assets are yours.

Post-launch support is available on a retainer or as-needed basis — your choice.

“Our measure of success is not what we deliver — but what you achieve because of it.”

Questions

What you
should know.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?
We primarily serve small and mid-sized businesses across Dallas–Fort Worth and beyond, as well as government clients at the federal, state, and municipal level. We’ve worked across healthcare, logistics, legal, professional services, retail, and more. If you have a technology problem worth solving, we want to hear about it.
How much does a project cost?
Project cost depends on scope and complexity. A focused website or automation tool typically starts in the low four figures. A custom application engagement is scoped and priced transparently before any work begins. We don’t bill hourly — every project comes with a fixed price or clearly defined phases, so you always know what you’re committing to.
Are you able to work on government contracts?
Yes. Pathlight Ventures holds active SAM.gov registration and a CAGE code, qualifying us for federal and government contracting. We can serve as a prime contractor or subcontractor depending on the opportunity. If you’re a contracting officer or prime looking for a small business technology partner in DFW, we’re ready to discuss.
How long does a project take?
Most projects are completed within four to twelve weeks depending on scope. A landing page or automation workflow can be delivered in one to two weeks. A full custom application typically runs six to ten weeks from kickoff to launch. We share a detailed timeline with every proposal — and we hold to it.
Do I own the code and assets when the project is done?
Completely. Upon final payment, all code, design files, and intellectual property transfer fully to you. We don’t retain licences, lock you into proprietary platforms, or charge ongoing fees unless you’ve opted into a support retainer. What we build is yours.
